FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | REYNOLDS, GA
Sixty-two local students have been selected as recipients of the 2025 Flint Energies Foundation College Scholarship, an award of $2,500 for the 2025-26 academic school year. This spring, $155,000 in scholarship funds were awarded by Flint Energies and the Flint Energies Foundation to students pursuing a degree at a four-year college or university.
The scholarship winners are as follows:
“We’re honored to recognize these remarkable student winners who possess qualities similar to the cooperative principles Flint Energies is based on and known for – leadership, dedication, and commitment to community,” says Blair Brown, Youth & Education Specialist at Flint Energies. “The future, no doubt, will be brighter because of them and what they have to offer to our communities.”
The Flint Energies Foundation selected the scholarship winners through an anonymous process based on a written essay, financial need and the applicant’s commitment to community. The Flint Energies Foundation Scholarship is limited to students whose primary residence is within one of the 17 counties served by Flint Energies: Bibb, Chattahoochee, Crawford, Dooly, Harris, Houston, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Muscogee, Peach, Schley, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Twiggs and Upson. The scholarship program was established in 2015 with the help of abandoned capital credits to encourage and assist in the educational pursuits of students living within Flint’s service area. Since then, Flint Energies and the Flint Energies Foundation have awarded more than $958,500 in college scholarships.
Applications for the 2026 Flint Energies Foundation Scholarships will be available at flintenergies.com/scholarships in January 2026.
